Cultural Evenings

With students from over 80 nationalities, the College is a wonderful place to share and learn about different cultures. Internationalism is a cornerstone of the UWC mission and our cultural events provide plenty of opportunities to engage with this element of the mission.

There are cultural evenings throughout the year, where students from similar cultural groups present dances, songs and sketches to share their cultural heritage with the College. These evenings are fun, energetic and lively and should not be missed.

Students and staff can also run events to mark significant dates in their cultures. For example, this year, students invited staff to join the morning prayer at the start of Eid, Iranian students organized a bonfire to see in Nowruz and students from India planned a Holi celebration. You will often see students in national dress or carrying their flags to celebrate significant days.
