The library at UWC Dilijan is equipped with all necessary facilities to create a comfortable setting, including computer stations, where students can concentrate on their studies and research.
Before the beginning of the first academic year in September 2014 UWC Dilijan acquired the essential textbooks without which teaching and learning would not be possible.
The guests of the College Opening Ceremony in October 2014 made the first donations to the library collection, responding quite enthusiastically to the request to bring their favourite book. More than 600 books were donated to the College library that day.
At the moment, roughly 6% of total number of the books is donated. There are more than 15,500 titles in 42 languages in the Main Hall, including 5,000 copies of textbooks. The library has an access to 13 richest online databases, which students and staff are free to use.
50 students are involved in the Library work, forming a group of LiBEARians. The students are in charge of the library from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. during working days and from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. during the weekends. They support library in daily activities and students in their academic researches.
Our Library collaborates with Little Free Library - a non-profit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world. Little Free Library has donated its lovely book box to us which has become a unique way for the community to share books with each other and read.
